Sydney Dance Classes

RAD BAllet classes are offered for those who would like to take part in annual examinations from the RAD. Classes are offered for all ages. All RAD Ballet classes are taught by trained and certified RAD Ballet teachers. We also offer open ballet classes.

RAD/OPEN BALLET

Contemporary is an earthy dance style combining ballet technique and naturalistic movement. Students will receive training in contemporary dance with influences from ballet, jazz and modern pushing the boundaries in commercial and traditional contemporary styles.

CONTEMPORARY

Jazz is an exciting and ever evolving dance form. We encourage individual style and expression whilst focusing on developing technique, and movement quality with an emphasis on style, rhythm and proper execution of body isolations, line and progressions.

JAZZ

We believe it is important for every student to take part in Tap classes if they do not learn a musical instrument. It emphasises the development and strengthening importance of rhythm and sound. You will focus on rhythms and intricate footwork creating a percussion instrument out of the dancers feet.

TAP

Commercial jazz is everything you see in music and entertainment industry today. Like every other style of dance it relies on good technical training.

COMMERCIAL JAZZ

Lyrical uses the words of music as inspiration for expression and gesture through Ballet, Jazz, Modern and Contemporary technique. This is a beautiful style of dance that allows you to be totally free with your emotions.

LYRICAL

This class offers different combinations of kicks, turns and jumps that will only help to enhance your jazz technique.

JAZZ TECHNIQUE

Break dancing originated in NYC in the early 70's and is one of the Four Elements of Hip-Hop. In this physically demanding class, you’ll learn moves such as toprocking, uprocking, and freezes, as well as footwork and power moves.

BREAK DANCING

The class is a fun, social way to learn the fundamentals of singing as a group. Students learn basic technique, breathing, harmonies and cover a curriculum of different musical styles and genres.

SINGING

Acting - catering for students who would like to build their confidence at the same time as developing skills that can be taken into the professional industry. All classes are age appropriate with younger students concentrating on script work, improvisation skills, skits & group scenes.

ACTING

This class focuses on everything needed for a good technical base across all dance styles. Pilates exercise are used within the class to gain the core strength needed for dance and stretch the muscles head to toe so that you increase flexibility. You will build the skills needed to complete the complicated progressions, turns, kicks and jumps required for good dance technique.

CONDITIONING

This class is a combination class of singing, dancing and acting and you focus on the dance component in specific musical theatre numbers from various shows, emphasising performance and characterisation skills. This class caters for those passionate about musical theatre & for actors and singers who want improve on their dance and movement skills.

MUSICAL THEATRE

TNSPA Company is for dedicated students wanting to learn everything about the entertainment industry. We will teach you everything you need to know about theatre, stage, fashion, TV and film all whilst we create unique and inspiring performance opportunities. This includes competing in local and national dance competitions.

COMPANY

A high-energy class and the music is from R&B and House to Club and Pop, our classes utilise music from various music genres and teach movement and hip hop technique filled with popping, locking and breaking as well as freestyle movement.

HIP HOP

Learn the basics or work on advancing your skills in this flexible Acro class. Acrobatics is not the typical tumbling or gymnastics class. Our experienced acro instructor will guide the class towards increased flexibility, balance, strength, muscle control, discipline and concentration. This class will focus on fundamental acrobatic technique, teaching such skills as handstands, chin stands, elbow stands, cartwheels, back bends, walkovers, balance and contortion tricks, flipping, back handsprings and other acrobtic skills used in dance all to each student's individual level of experience.
